„Ich heiße Lassie (bedeutet auf Deutsch „Mädchen“) Ich wurde im Oktober 2017 im Westen Irlands geboren Im Oktober 2018 wurde ich von der Madra Dog Rescue, Connemara, gerettet. Am 8.12.2018 bin ich in Deutschland angekommen und habe sofort das Herz meiner neuen Familie erobert.

Finn, Penny, Gigi and Glen left our Irish shores last week to seek forever homes in Germany. It’s always tough saying goodbye to our dogs whom we’ve built up a bond with, but the reality is that there is an abundance of dogs, particularly collies, in Ireland looking for homes that sadly just don’t exist.

MADRA is dedicated to finding new homes for unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs. We actively search for permanent, quality homes for our dogs through advertisements in local newspapers, veterinary clinics, pet shops, and special events that provide exposure. The MADRA website provide current, up-to-date information about all of our dogs and our work. We actively support, encourage and promote neutering of pet dogs as an ethical solution to the over-population and killing of dogs in Ireland. We also wish to improve the welfare of dogs through general education of the public and through education programmes for children.
